Dr. Batky earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Clinical Child Psychology, at the University of Alabama. She then completed her predoctoral internship at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center and postdoctoral fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine’s Center for Youth Mental Health.
Dr. Batky’s research broadly focuses on improving the assessment and treatment of adolescent emotional and behavioral challenges through better understanding how these challenges develop. Dr. Batky’s work examines how personality traits are associated with risk for emotional and behavioral problems. Her research also emphasizes using multiple methods (e.g., physiological measurement/EEG, questionnaires, task-based assessment) to understand personality, emotional experiences, and behavior among youth.
